Lighthouses: Life on the Rocks shortlisted for National Lottery Awards 2010

'Lighthouses: Life on the Rocks' the major new exhibition currently running at the National Maritime Museum has been shortlisted to the semi-finals in the National Lottery Awards 2010. The hard work and late nights back in November and December of last year are a distant memory now as 25,000 museum visitors have so far immersed themselves in the story of Lighthouses and their keepers; from the tall tales of the lighthouse keepers themselves, to the massive scale of these triumphs of engineering. We created the branding and graphic interpretation and worked alongside NMMC and Concept Shed to design and produce the interactive features. A rich and dramatic subject has been delivered in an engaging and emotive design scheme that brings the subject to life.

The voting is now closed for The National Lottery Awards 2010 so fingers crossed 'Lighthouses: Life on the Rocks get's the recognition it deserves.

Beyond super

We are exceptionally pleased to welcome Devonport Yachts as our new client after winning a three-way pitch to produce their communications. Devonport create Superyachts in the over 60 metre sector (thats unbelievably big to you and me). Already a well established brand with a portfolio of Yachts that range up to 110 metres in length they have shifted their operations to Falmouth in partnership with Pendennis. We'll be working hard to develop and refine the values of the brand and extend their communications to reflect a shift into new areas of this exclusive market.

A sound bit of design

This lovely piece of marketing folds out a piece of cardboard to become a stand alone record player. The piece was made by Grey Vancouver in Canada to help promote a sound engineering company, GGRP. The sound is picked up from the needle and amplified through the cardboard.

Double celebrations at the Media Innovation Awards

Last night was the 2010 Media Innovation Awards and we are so happy to have picked up two awards. Our website for Dott Shot (www.dottshot.com) won the Best Community Website category and our 2010 prospectus for UCF won the Best Print Media category.

The night was fantastic with plenty of wine and beer flowing which is probably evident in the speeches which you can see online at http://bit.ly/aKibfM

Big smiles in the studio today.

Ok, Go

OK Go, of the famous treadmill music video have surpassed themselves by creating (in collaboration with James Frost and Syyn Labs) a masterpiece one shot video. If you think you've seen it before then you'd be (sort of) right, with the classic 'Cog' ad from Wiedens bearing comparison. A very satisfying ending bringing back memories of Mousetrap, by which the hardest soul will struggle not to raise a smile. It has awards written all over it.
